    Public Engagement Sessions - Mathematics Standards of Learning Revisions

    May 18 and June 13

    As announced in Superintendent's Memo #103-22, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) will host six public engagement sessions to allow parents, families, and community members to participate in the review and revision of the
    2016 Mathematics Standards of Learning. The five regional face-to-face sessions and one virtual session will begin with presentations by VDOE staff about the Standards of Learning revision process, followed by an opportunity for participants to share feedback about the Commonwealth’s current mathematics standards and suggest revisions.

    Face-to-Face Meeting will be held from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. on May 18, 2022.

    PCPS is offering internet hubs for students and families to access the internet for virtual learning. There are daytime and evening options available at Pocahontas Landmark Center (4290 Anderson Highway), Powhatan High School (1800 Judes Ferry Road), and Powhatan Middle School (4135 Old Buckingham Road).   • PCPS Meal Distribution

    The PCPS meal distribution program is designed to serve free breakfast and lunch meals to ALL students who attend Powhatan County Schools, and to any other child 18 years or younger.  A free lunch and breakfast meal will be offered to all students on the days they are in class. Bagged meals will be available for students to take home for the days they are not in class. Bagged meals will also be available for parent pick-up for any student enrolled in our virtual program.
